Week 18
May 9, 2016
Day 114
Exercise: Swim
Time: 1 hour
Distance: ha
I had the entire pool to myself for the first half of my swim until this girl got in the lane next to me. She looked my age, so I obviously picked up my pace and made sure I was swimming faster than she was (because pride). I stayed ahead of her for a few laps, and then she decided to stop warming up and started beating me down and back over and over and over again...turns out she was maybe 14 years old, so yeah. Feeling #humbled today.
Day 115
Exercise: Bike/Run
Time: 1 hour 30 minutes/1 hour
Distance: 22 miles/6 miles
I don't like exercising twice in one day. I just don't like it. It's a pretty defeating feeling when you get off the bike and realize you're only half way done with your workout. The good news is I'm getting better at finishing these workouts. They still hurt the worst, but I don't want to die at the end, and that's a huge improvement from where I started.
Day 116
Strength Day
I thought I saw my abs in the mirror today, but turns out it was just a shadow. So close.
Day 117
Exercise: Bike
Time: 2 hours
Distance: 30 miles
This is the first time I've ridden on my bike in a while, so it felt good to finally do a ride outside of the gym AND I didn't fall once!! I think God humbled me in the pool earlier this week, so he could pick me back up today. I'm on cloud nine, and my legs have no scrapes *praise hands*
Day 118-120
OFF
I'm sick and I can't breathe through my nose. Surprisingly, I hate that I have to take multiple days off this close to the race, but I'm not interested in trying to run without being able to breathe properly.
