Week 14
April 14, 2016
Day 86
Exercise: Run
Time: 2 hours 20 minutes
Distance: 13 miles
I learned about dehydration today in an all too real way. This was the longest run I've ever done, and I only drank one bottle of water before starting, which clearly was not enough. Also, I made the brilliant decision to end my run a mile from where I parked my car, which is just plain stupid.
Anyway, I almost passed out afterwards, but we're good now.
Day 87
Exercise: Swim
Time: 40 minutes
Distance: laps
I thought today would be harder because of how sore I was from yesterday, but swimming seems to have a therapeutic effect on me. I love getting in the pool and enjoying complete silence for however long I'm underwater. There are very few places that offer the type of solace a swimming pool often has.
Day 88

Day 89
Exercise: Bike
Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Distance: 22 miles
I still haven't fixed my shoe clip, but I'm going to take care of that tomorrow. Today, I biked in the gym, which was pretty boring. Thankfully, they had the Golf Channel on, so I was able to watch Masters coverage.
It's hard to not have some sort of distraction while I'm working out. If I didn't have the TV in the gym, or music, or podcasts, I would be bored out of my mind.

Day 91

Day 92
OFF
I took extra off days at the end of this week for travel, but I still should have been able to get more exercises this week. It's getting harder to stay motivated every day, but every day is a new day and every week a new week. Instead of letting this bad week get me down, I'm going to start fresh tomorrow and try to make each of the following weeks better than the last. Today, I'm thankful that God gives me a fresh start every day.
